Wyzanski (Charles) is born in Boston.

The son of Charles and Maude (Joseph) Wyzanski, Charles Wyzanski grows up in Brookline, graduates from Harvard College and Harvard Law School, and becomes the only Jewish lawyer in the firm of Ropes, Gray, Boyden & Perkins. He moves to Washington, D.C. to work for Roosevelt administration, helps to implement the New Deal, then returns to Boston, marries Gisela Warburg in 1943, and serves as U.S. District Court judge (1942-86). A staunch defender of civil liberties, Wyzanski resists an attempt by the Massachusetts legislature to remove him in 1973. He teaches at Harvard, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and other colleges. Wyzanski dies in Boston on September 3, 1986.
